Dr. Jessica Schellinck, DDS
Dr. Schellinck received her Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2004 from the University of the Pacific Dental School in San Francisco. For close to a decade, she worked as an associate in the Bay Area, as well as abroad in Germany for the U.S. Army. Jessica has been an instructor at UOP Dental School and has volunteered in the research program at Eastman School of Dentistry in London, UK. She is also one of four siblings who has graduated from UOP Dental School.
Dr. Schellinck is a member of the Contra Costa Dental Society, the California Dental Association, and the American Dental Association. She is a strong believer in continuing education and is a member of the Seattle Study Club and the Spear Study club. Dentistry changes with time and Dr. Schellinck feels she should, too. Learning with peers is a priority for the doctor. The more she learns, the greater benefit to her patients.
As a mother of twins, James and Averly, she enjoys spending time doing arts and crafts, running around outdoors, and laughing with them as much as possible. As an avid watercolor artist, when motherhood becomes a little less busy, she would love to pursue her own love of the arts.
Dr. Jill Thayer, DDS

She then completed a one year residency at UCLA in Advanced Education in General Dentistry, where she received specialty training in implants, cosmetics, periodontics and prosthodontics. Since then, she has attended post graduate courses in all phases of dentistry. Dr. Thayer is a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association and the Contra Costa Dental Society. She has been working as an associate in Walnut Creek for the past 8 years treating adults and children. She is also a clinical professor for the Diablo Valley College Hygiene School. Jill lives in Danville with her husband and three children: a six year boy, a four year old boy, and a one year old girl.
The addition of Mandy to our staff has been such a great bonus! You’ll feel comfortable and confident in her care as she has been in the dental industry for many years and knows her stuff! Mandy attributes her joy to enjoying what she does and having a wonderful husband and three amazing children.
Monica joined the practice in 1994 as a dental assistant and decided to go back to school to become a dental hygienist in 2005. She is with us on Mondays and Wednesdays and has garnered quite the following after all these years. Monica is a perennial student in the school of life and loves expanding her knowledge in dentistry as well as other areas. She is currently earning her Masters Degree in Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture. Monica and her husband live with the world’s best dog, Rita. Monica is also an avid hiker and nature lover. If there was a way to practice dentistry outdoors, she’d be the first on board!
Zayne, Patient Care Coordinator
Zayne is the mother hen of this brood. She has been in the dental industry for over thirty years – starting as an RDA. One brief stint as a sub for a front desk member out on maternity leave and she was hooked! Ever since, she has been manning the front desk at practices throughout Contra Costa County. She has a passion for helping people and loves the science of dentistry. Call her once and you’re old friends from then on. Have a question (or 20!) regarding your insurance? Chances are Zayne will have the answers you seek (or know how to find them). Trying to coordinate appointments with a specialist? Give her a shout and let her help you. Zayne loves Northern California and has lived in Pleasant Hill since 2002. In her spare time, she is an avid chef, writer, ceramist, Methodist Lay Minister, Soroptimist and dog lover.
